January Catch Up

January went by quickly! Here are some of our favorite moments:

I had a great time coaching Riley's indoor soccer team. Go Bobcats!
Ben, Aidan and Nate playing Clash of Clans
The kids had a sleepover at Gramps' place.
Night walk.

Ben had his Kindergarten applicant visit at Nate and Riley's school - I can't believe our baby will be in Kindergarten next year!

He'll always be my baby though. :)

Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch (jersey created by Ben)
Riley looking fierce at Bollywood dance class.
Nate and Gramps enjoying salmon and reading Percy Jackson after Nate's soccer practice.

Ben and I made this spaceship today - despite all the toys out there, there is nothing quite as fun as playing with a big old box.

Riley and Gramps went to the Girl Scouts Neon Father - Daughter dance. (Mesh was out of town.)

Yesterday was Dad/Badappa's birthday.  We lost Mesh's father six years ago and we miss him oh so much.  We talk about him often and it is so neat to hear the kids bring him up and talk about him, saying things like "Badappa was so brave and moved here from India" and pointing out rainbows because they remind us of Badappa.  We love you Ram. You are very much here with us.

Seahawks NFC Champs Game

Gramps is from Wisconsin and therefore was born and raised a Packers fan. He flies to Lambeau field every year to see a game and always goes when they come here to Seattle. Well this time he surprised us and got tickets for Mesh and I to attend the game and stayed home to get heckled by the grandkids.  It turned out to be a game for the history books. Thanks dad!

California Kieffer Cousins' Trip

After Christmas we went to California to cousin Sadie's house for a Kieffer Cousins get together! Cameron, Colin, and Kieran flew in from New York City. The kids (and the adults) had a great time being with family. So many great memories were made! Make sure to check out the last post in 2014 for adorable group photos of the kids.

Playing in the California sun in the backyard…feels like a resort to us! :)
bouncing with Noni*
These two were terrified of the dogs last year but gave Calli and Millie lots of attention this year (as did Nate)…we are most likely getting ready for a puppy of our own this summer!

Uncle Andy took Nate for a spin in his fancy car…I went for a spin myself later and had to hold on to the "oh dear" bars - a friendlier phrase for what Andy called them.

Fun ride in the pick up truck
We hiked up to the observatory  in L.A. to meet up with Joey's family and Sabrina's sister's family and then went out to dinner. (Sadie was feeling sick so stayed at home.)

We are both the youngest of three and the youngest cousin on the Kieffer side…I love my sweet nephew Kieran!
