September Catch Up

Just downloaded the pictures from this month that went by in a flash! Here are some of the moments I missed on the blog:
I turned 34 and I'm grateful for every single one of those years!

Soccer season!

Annual trip to the Puyallup fair with the Roses.

Riley with friends at a birthday tea party

Walk for Wishes 5k for the Make-A-Wish foundation

Ben sneaking around at night - ended up in Nate's bed with some friends.

The Arctic Imax movie at the Pacific Science Center - Ben's first movie!
And finally a little video to see the Iyer trio in action:

NYC Photo

Last year on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, I wrote about Remembering what it was like being there that day and how the city became my home.  I was cleaning out our hall closet this weekend and came across a box of photos.  This photo made my heart race and took my breath away:

This was before the digital camera days and the date is stamped on the side (click the photo to enlarge and it shows up): 9/8/01...my 23rd birthday and 3 days before the towers no longer stood there.  We remember, we always will.

Labor Day Weekend w/ Sadie, Auntie Val & Uncle Andy

Sadie, Auntie Val and Uncle Andy came to visit for the long weekend.  We may only get to see each other a couple times a year, but we always have a wonderful time together!  We missed the NYC Kieffers but they are coming in November...maybe the California Kieffers will come back then too (hint, hint).  Our weekend:

Fun around the house and in the woods:

Give my big brother a couple Alaskan Ambers and he turns into the karate kid.

We spent Saturday in our hometown, the beautiful Gig Harbor:

They did this pose all weekend and shouted "Girl Power"!
Watching the trains after dinner at Steamer's
We spent the day in Seattle:
Visting a tugboat.
Gas Works Park

Relaxing and watching Ninjago (Nate's pick) after a neighborhood water gun fight and a backyard bbq.

Uncle Andy, Auntie Val and Sadie leave in the morning - we will miss you guys!
