Blue Friday & Girl Scout Dance

How is it that a whole month of 2014 is in the books?! We had an amazing last day of January.  The kids showed their team spirit for Blue Friday - although I had an early meeting at work and forgot and was hence the only person at school wearing a sweater dress instead of Seahawks gear. I have been wearing blue and green all weekend to make up for it.  Then tonight Riley had her first dance! Ramesh is out of town for a conference so Gramps had the honor of taking Riley and they had a blast! The boys and I had a great night in playing soccer in the garage, eating popsicles and playing lots of board games.

Ben prefers to be called Russell Wilson now. Not just Russell, has to be the full name.

I'm guessing the daisy troop will plant some trees to make up for this. ;)

Go Seahawks!!

Winter Sports

Basketball and ski seasons are in full swing - go little Iyers!

Riley with her class on the chairlift - she's on the outside and kept enthusiastically waving to me and nearly gave me a heart attack.

Big brother giving little sister some pointers.

Super fans! ;)

Brotherly love.
The Seahawks are headed to the Super Bowl - woohoo!

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Thank you Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Thank you!

Nate's homework:

Riley's Quotes:
"Mommy, the white people weren't allowed to play with the black people before Martin Luther King came along so without him you wouldn't even have met Daddy."

"I'm half Indian and half white. Badamma is from India and Noni is from White."

Happy New Year!

The tradition of ringing in the new year with the Ludlows continues! New this year was that all six kids stayed up past midnight which would explain why the Iyer kids are asleep now at 7pm. Happy New Year!

Ben and Cameron - the littles

Matt and Nate - the big brothers

Grace and Riley - the middle sisters

Talli, Maile (pictured), and Merrick came over to celebrate for a while too. I think baby Merrick was sleeping by the time I remembered to take pictures.

Late night game of Beat the Parents

Check out the second question.  What?! We thought the answer was Japan and had to google this one. It's still a little unclear.
