Rochester Trip

We went to Rochester for a week to honor Badappa's life and spend time with family. Here are some pictures from our trip.
Badamma and Riley making dosa...this was one of Mesh's favorite foods growing up and still is...yummy!

We celebrated Riley's birthday a few days early. Here she is enjoying her first cupcake with Uncle Josh and Auntie Raji.

Riley wearing her first Indian outfit. Badamma gave this dress to us when I was pregnant with Nate, knowing we were having a boy. She said she knew the next one was going to be a girl and 3 years later here is Riley finally fitting into the dress!

Badappa/Dad

In loving memory of our Badappa and Dad - he was a very devoted father and grandfather, a caring doctor, and an extremely generous and kind man. We miss him but know he will always be present in our lives.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Mesh left for DC for work last week and doesn't come home until the beginning of March...we miss him very much. Luckily Noni came into town and we have had a fun and very busy week!

Riley's first professional haircut

I was resisting getting Riley's hair cut (her hair is so beautiful) but she woke up every morning with her hair in her face so we decided it was time for a trim. She did great - no tears at all! Nate on the other hand still cries and shouts and has to sit in my lap during haircuts...gotta love how spirited he is!

Playing together

This is something rarely seen - Riley's angry face. Nate had just taken a toy away from her (don't worry-he gave it back). She is adorable even when she is mad.

Now that Riley is really moving, she is interacting with her brother a lot more these days. Nate and Riley started playing together more and those first few fights have begun....it's a whole new world! Whenever Riley goes near one of Nate's puzzles he says "Move him over there, way way over there, thank you." Hey-at least he remembers to say thank you! ;)

Eating out!

This month went by fast! I was just looking over the pictures from the month and most of the photos are of us at restaurants. Mesh is working nights this month so I've been taking the kids out to lunch more lately in an attempt to actually let Mesh get some sleep. I am in shock over how much Riley eats since Nate never was a big eater. She found a new favorite food this month - pizza! I'm not quite sure if a 10 month old should be eating pizza but she's close enough to one. Oh and we took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time-I'm sure there are countless more trips in our future!

Riley is like her mom - she loves Mexican food!

We celebrated with the Ludlows for the fourth year in a row...good times!

In 2008 we were most thankful for Riley being born!
