Ben is 6 months/3 sets of Beautiful Brown Eyes!

Happy half birthday to our sweet, happy, giggly baby Ben! This boy of ours is such a people person-giving smiles to all and happy as long as he's in the center of all the action. You can see it in his eyes that he adores his big siblings and can't wait to join the chaos...he's army crawling now and rocking on all fours--so he'll be on the go soon! (Hopefully not too soon-I enjoy being able to cuddle with him for a long time!)
Ben's 6 month check-up isn't until next week - I will add his stats then.

Our sweet babes and their big beautiful brown eyes!

Halloween Weekend!

Trick-or-treat!
pumpkins!

10/30 Riley catching a ride from dad.
10/30 Gathering to trick-or-treat on Front Street.
10/30 Beautiful slightly rainy day in Issaquah (don't worry-trains don't run on the tracks).

Saturday we went trick-or-treating in downtown Issaquah and to pizza with our friends for our 5th annual Peps Halloween party. Then Sunday we went trick-or-treating at Gilman Village, to a party with friends, did more trick-or-treating in the neighborhood with Gramps, and then handed out candy to the big kids. Time to put my feet up and eat some candy...Nate counted and sorted all his candy so it looks like I will be digging into Riley's! ;)

The Halloween fun continues!

And the Halloween fun continues! Earlier this week we had pumpkin carving night at Nate's school including an adorable performance of Halloween songs by the class. Today our neighborhood had a Halloween Carnival complete with games, pony rides, a hay maze, bounce houses, a mini ferris wheel, and candy of course!

This was the first day the kids tried on their costumes. Nate and Riley have worn them around the house every day since.

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to Fall City Farms pumpkin patch for the third year in a row w/ our good friends the Roses. It was the perfect fall day to be on the farm.

3 Little Pumpkins across the years

It's our family tradition that the littlest Iyer has to dress like a pumpkin on his/her first trip to a pumpkin patch. Good thing for Ben it's not that the littlest Iyer always has to dress like a pumpkin each year...he might get a little sick of it by the time he was about 8! Here are our little pumpkins across the years!

Benny Ben eats solids!

I can't believe Baby Ben is 5 months old today! We decided to start him on some solids since he is always grabbing for food and really loves sitting at the table. It looks like he is going to be a good eater!
I'm not sure who was more excited for Ben to try rice cereal - Nate and Riley or Ben! Here he is getting his first bite from the three of us!

Love those shots w/ the camera set up on a 10 second delay!

Yum!

Ben loves to sit up and have a new view of the world.

I think this should be titled "ahhhhhhhhhhhh!"

Fall happenings

Smile!

10/3 About to leave the house for Nate's first day of Sunday School for the year with his mom as the teacher...he loves that I'm his teacher-so cute!

Gramps and Ben at the Salmon Days parade in our town. Salmon Days weekend is a celebration of the return of salmon to the hatchery in Issaquah...including lots of good food and fun for the kids!
Here is Riley in her "pirate princess" costume. She has now decided she wants to be a "princess princess" so the new costume is on its way...a girl is entitled to change her mind on such an important outfit. :)

The perfect pajamas for the children of a radiologist.

Cuteness! Riley loves being a big sister!

Ready for soccer! On Friday mornings Nate plays on one field while I do a parent/toddler class with Riley on the next field over, with Ben in the bjorn. It's working out great so far and we are all having a lot of fun.
