Last day of school!

Today was a big day at the Iyer house - it was Nate's first last day of school and my last last day of school! Nate finished up his first year of preschool. There was a little graduation ceremony at the end of class and a school carnival at night. I graduated from my school psychology program and can now add Ed.S. (Educational Specialist degree, which is between a masters and doctorate) to my name! A week before Ben was born I secured a job as the school psychologist at an early childhood center in our local school district and start working 2 days a week in late August. With Mesh passing the boards a few weeks ago and finishing residency this month-there are lots of things to celebrate around here! Not to be left out, Riley is starting to pick up on her potty training (yay!) and Ben has started giving social smiles and is enjoying doing tummy time. Major milestones for all the Iyers!
Nate and Ms. Louise. What a great year Nate had at preschool - he learned to read, write, became a little math whiz, and the teachers told me he is quite the ladies man (when asked for further explanation they revealed the girls enjoy mothering him and he does what they say-ha!). Most importantly, he had a lot of fun with his buddies and fell in love with learning!

Here is our spunky girl! Riley's imagination has really grown lately. Here she was gearing up for a big race in the hallway. She likes to pretend she is playing baseball games, finding monsters in tunnels, and talks about giants going up beanstalks. It is so fun to see her creativity.

Baby Ben is 5 weeks old today. This happy little guy has brought so much joy into our lives. You can't help but smile when holding Benny and he has started melting hearts by smiling back. He has the most amazing alert eyes and I would give anything to know what he is thinking.

And here's one of Nate on the new bike he got for his birthday. They are all growing so quickly!
