Less than 3 weeks after we discovered I have Celiac Disease, we learned today that Riley has it too. While it is a total bummer, I am glad that we were able to catch it early for her. We had all three kids tested for the gluten antibody and only Riley came up positive (the boys will be retested every year) and then the follow up endoscopy confirmed the diagnosis. Riley was very nervous for the procedure but she did great! She celebrated one final gluten filled day with donuts, cupcakes and chicken fingers from her favorite restaurant. Mother and daughter are on this gluten free journey together - we can do this!
