Nate the Great turns 5!

Nate making slime while giving mom a kiss.

June 1st: I can't believe our firstborn is 5! We love you so much our sweet, funny, smart, handsome Nater!

The traditional rainbow chip cake with m&m's.

As I was tucking in Nate the other night he said, "Mom I love you to infinity plus one, and that's not even a real number!" And I thought-this smart little boy of mine sure knows a lot of things, but he will never be able to quantify the enormity of my love for him. But for now he needed an answer so I replied,"I love you to infinity times infinity to the 100th power and then all that again." His response, "Haha-mom that's not a real number either!" That's my boy!

East Coast Trip Part 2 - Brown Reunion

Mesh and I had our 10 year reunion at Brown over Memorial Day weekend. It was so fun to catch up with old friends, show the kids where Mom and Dad met and later got engaged, and spend lots of time with my roommate of all 4 years/friend for life Janine and her family. Thanks to Noni for coming so we could go out to the night events.

Hanging with Bruno at field day. (Riley did NOT like him.)

Dad and his boys at Phi Kappa Psi...with a diaper bag. Love it.

Just like old times-Neen and Meg at Campus Dance. Well, kind of like old times -we are 10 years older and mamas now! We took the picture to send to our friend that couldn't make it because he is a new dad - we weren't really climbing on a table.

The kids and dads: Mesh, Ben, Jenna (my god daughter), Nate, Riley, Brian, and Paige.

Jenna and Riley-instant best buddies just like their moms!

Iyer kids on campus

The littlest big man on campus.

The story of us (in a nutshell): Freshman year Ramesh and I lived on the same hallway and quickly became best friends. We started dating at the end of junior year and 10 years later we have 3 beautiful kiddos! It was so amazing to return to this very special place with our children.

East Coast Trip Part 1 - Southampton

We had a great time at Uncle Joey, Auntie Sabrina, Cameron and Colin's in Southampton last week. We got to see family (including the newest Kane cousin baby boys), our dear friend Becky came out for a day, and we spent plenty of time at the beach!

Beach babes

Riley's favorite beach activity-building sandcastles.

Nate's favorite beach activity - collecting seashells with Noni. 1285 of them to be exact!

Ben's favorite beach activity - walking in the sand.

One of many early birthday celebrations for Nate - he turns 5 on June 1st!

Cousin Jason, his 5 week old son Liam and Joey. We also got to meet cousin Brian's 8 month-old son Ethan.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies in my life - especially our moms (aka Noni* and Badamma) - we love you so much!

Showered with gifts - a handprint from Nate, sweetpeas in a pot from Riley, flowers from Mesh and the kids, and flowers from Raji and Josh. I'm feeling the love!

Breakfast in bed from Mesh and the kids. It was the best cup of hot chocolate, piece of very slightly toasted bread with cream cheese, and six grapes I have ever had. ;) Note to self-teach Mesh and/or Nate how to cook eggs before next year. Lol!

Riley's painting of Mommy that was displayed at the Mother's tea at her school. It says "I love my mommy because she gives me hugs." Awwww!

Mother's Day tea at Riley's preschool on Thursday - cutest thing ever!

Happy 1st birthday Ben!

Today Ben (aka Benny, Benny Ben, Benjamin Button, Benny Button, Benjamin, Baby Ben) turned one and celebrate we did - in fact we celebrated all week! Check out the fun times below!

Now I sit here on the couch late at night on the year anniversary of my baby boy's birth, documenting memories for my little ones to look back on one day as I eat just one more piece of rainbow chip cake. My sweet husband is asleep beside me on the couch, because he likes to wait for me to go to bed but I always end up staying up too late. My three precious children are all soundly sleeping (for at least another six hours, I hope!) upstairs, after plotting what they will do for me tomorrow on mother's day. Hello true bliss-I have arrived! And now I'm off to finish cleaning the dishes. ;)

Riley, Ben, Steph & Kelby

5/7: Celebrating Ben's birthday with great friends-the Ludlows and Arnolds (the 3 mommies have known each other since childhood).
Ben's first year poster - a tradition for the first birthday. (Being the third child myself, I am keeping up with all the things I need for Ben's baby book!)

5/6: Traditional birthday dinner at Red Robin with Amandalee and Gramps!

5/1: Lars and Ben celebrated their birthdays together w/ our moms' group that has been meeting since their big brothers were newborns!

Uncle Josh's Visit

Uncle Josh recently decided to switch law firms and came to visit us during his vacation time. We were so touched that he would fly across the country to hang with his nephews and niece - and not only that, but he took great care to make sure each one felt extra special. Josh was here for Ben's first birthday party (bday post to come-the week of celebrating is still continuing as Ben's actual birthday is tomorrow). Josh took Riley out shopping at Janie and Jack and quickly learned that she takes after her Aunt Raji, as they left the store with 3 dresses, a pair of sandals, and a pair of sunglasses. For Nate's special time, Josh took him to his first night Mariner's game. Nate made it through to the end, still chatting away when they arrived home at nearly 11pm. Thank you so much Josh-some lifelong memories were made this week!
