Ski Day!!

Nate and Riley went skiing for the first time (Nate had been once before when he was 3 1/2 but that only lasted about 15 minutes).  Yesterday they were out on the slopes for almost 4 hours.  We ended up getting Nate a 1 hour private lesson after we worked with him for a little bit and then I tried teaching Riley some basics but she preferred to learn on her own and just go barreling down the bunny hill.  

 Nate takes the magic carpet which is way easier than the rope tow...kids have it so easy these days ;) and Riley skis with our friend Nima:

Here are two short video clips.  The first is of Nate working hard on perfecting his technique during his ski lesson (he is in the middle w/ the instructor).  The second is of Riley zooming down the mountain.  These pretty much sum up their personalities! :)  I'm so proud of them both!

Thanks to Gramps for making Ben's day magical too...and tiring him out!

And it snowed in Issaquah yesterday and today so we get to have another fun day in the snow.  In fact, here are the kiddos this morning at 8:30AM.  Nate and Ri are still out there so I better put the computer down and go find the sled!
