My kids (and their parents) so love the annual Maritime Gig parade in my hometown that we plan Nate's birthday parties around it and Nate decided to miss his last tball game of the season so we could go. The parade, as always, delivered big on fun, friends, floats, and candy...bags full of candy! It's like Halloween for lazy people, you just stand there and people throw candy at you. What's not to love? Add in old friends from the Lester's Lightning soccer days of my childhood and it's pretty much heaven. A special thanks to the Jerkovich family for being wonderful hosts to so many!
